Beirut, Lebanon -- April 28, 2009. In February 2009, Ayna made it possible for mobile users to access Ayna maps from the road using devices equipped with GPS and a Wifi/GPRS/3G connection. The mobile application, Ayna Maps, runs on virtually all j2me phones. It has been tested on Nokia's E series, Samsung, and SonyEriccson. Today, the news version of the software (v1.32) brings in performance enhancements, bug fixes, and new shortcuts.
Highlights of the features include the ability to search for nearby businesses, directions from one place to another, with turn by turn instructions in English, Arabic or French. Quickly find business in your area, enhanced application performance for users connecting in non 3G networks, and much more.
Existing users can update their Ayna maps applications on their next connection to their wireless network to get the most of their maps. A new version is in the works, and will be available within a month , and will include access to satellite imagery, better driving instructions, and route higlighting.
New users interested in finding businesses, places, and people from their mobile, can download their free version of the software from <http://www.ayna.com/mobile.en.php >
With tourism season approaching, the need for such a mobile service is key for end users to find that hotel, restaruant or event. Businesses not listed on Ayna's mobile business guide are definetly missing an opporunity to generate revenues in this tough financial times. Business should contact their nearest Ayna office to learn how to submit their information for inclusion in the mobile business guide. <http://www.aynacorp.com/contact.php >
