The Computer Science and Mathematics Department at the Lebanese American University in Beirut, Lebanon, organized The second Lebanese Collegiate Programming Competition (LCPC) for two consecutive days on the 25th and the 26th of June 2010.  The event attracted college students majoring in Computer Science and Computer Engineering across Lebanon and provided them with the opportunity to develop and demonstrate their programming and problem solving skills. The event was supervised by Dr. Ziad Najem, regional ICPC director, and assistant professor in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Kuwait University and sponsored by Ayna Corporation and BMB.

During the opening ceremony and the registration of the students, Ayna had a stand to familiarize the participants with the company's new service "Ayna Local" and provide them with the opportunity to join its team.  During the Gala dinner at Le Bristol hotel in Hamra, that included all participants, the Organizing Committee, officials from participating universities and representatives from the industry, LAU President Joseph Jabbra made a speech about the importance of supporting higher education of Lebanese students and presented the winners with prizes.
