Beirut, Lebanon -November 20th 2009- Banks in the Arab world competed for the Best Banking website awards, the ceremony was held for the first time at Phoenicia Hotel and was organized by the Pan Arab Web awards Academy and supported by AYNA.com, Microsoft, BSA and MSN.
The president of the academy Mr. Pierre Moukarzel honored the winners by presenting trophies covering various categories of banking websites in the MENA region.
The winning banks were from Bahrain, Jordan, KSA, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, UAE, and Qatar, as for the Bank of the Year award was given to Al-Hilal Bank from U.A.E.
In addition, AYNA demonstrated the banking new features and different packages on web and mobile and how can a regular user reach any bank branch or ATM easily on web and mobile, know the opening hours and get driving directions for the chosen destination.
This feature covers more than 20 countries and 30 cities in the MENA region.
The event privileged the banking websites and showed great appreciation towards the development of the digital content in our region.
The closure was with a big promise to come back next near with enhanced websites and new features helping the user to benefit the maximum from the digital world in the online banking.
